Mr. Beresford
Pronouncing My Name: My name is pronounced BEARS-FORD. Think of a couple of bears sitting in the back of a Ford truck. My name is English and originates from Alstonefield Parish in Staffordshire County in the heart of England.
About Me: I've been working in the Rim of the World School District since 1995 as a teacher, a tutor, and a wrestling coach. I took my teaching credential classes at the University of Redlands and I have a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from California State University, San Bernardino. I was born in Lake Arrowhead at Mountains Community Hospital in 1969. I have lived on the mountain most of my life. I went to LAE, MPH, and RIM H.S. and graduated in 1987. My wife, Dallas, works at RIM H.S. in the Special Education department. We live in Lake Arrowhead, only a few minutes from the MPH campus. I keep my classroom environment organized and conducive to learning. I align all of my curriculum and grading according to the Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts (ELA). I'm a fun and entertaining teacher and most students love my class, despite the heavy workload.
