MPH Leadership AVID and Art Disneyland Workshop:

MPH took approximately 70 students to Disneyland and/or California Adventure for their Youth Education Series.  The advanced art students participated in an animation workshop and were taught different drawing techniques. The AVID students and Leadership students were taught the importance of teamwork and diversity through activities designed to test communication, trust, and the ability to work under pressure.  After the 3-hour programs, they enjoyed the parks with their friends.

    MPH AVID UCR Field Trip:

The AVID class visited the UCR campus where they attended a one-hour informational session with a power point explaining the importance of grades and community service even at their young age.  Grants, financial aid, FAFSA, and scholarships were discussed. Housing and sports were touched upon. We then were taken around for a campus tour which the students really enjoyed and a trip to the bookstore!  Lunch was at the Old Town Spaghetti Factory where the students were provided a nice sit-down lunch.
