  • Michelle Murphy, Superintendent, Rim of the World Unified School District

Deborah Messina, Specialist in Child Welfare and Attendance, is working closely with the Mountain Homeless Coalition and the Girl Scouts to provide snacks and Thanksgiving meal bags to our families. Each meal bag will have about 10 items in it to assist families over the Holiday. We are excited to give back to a few of our families in this way.

Also, attached is a flyer with the Spring semester line-up of Valley College course offerings at Rim High School. These courses start in mid-January and are open to anyone in the community.

In addition, the flyer has information regarding the Super Saturday (November 16th) in the library at Rim High School. On that day, Valley College counselors, admissions and financial aid staff will be at Rim High School to assist people in registering with Valley College, preparing an academic plan and applying for financial aid.

In efforts to get the word out to our communities that Valley College courses are now offered on Rim High School’s campus, please share this flyer and information.

    Super Saturday Info

David Nygren, Principal, Rim of the World High School

Last week was “College Week” at Rim High School and we began with a Scot’s University night for parents and students focusing on financial aid for college using the FAFSA, we held a “College Wear Wednesday” spirit day, held the PSAT and ASVAB assessments for post-secondary entrance, and ended with teachers sharing their college journey with each of their classes.  We hope this college focus had most of our students thinking about life after high school.

Fall sports are wrapping up their regular seasons. Last night, our Volleyball team hosted Redlands High School and defeated them in the first round of CIF 3-1, and they will be headed to 2nd round at Winward High School this Saturday, October 26th at 6 pm. Girls Tennis have finished 2nd in the league and will have League Finals at San Gorgonio High School next week.  Cross Country will head to Mt. Sac. today for an invitational, and Football will head to Rialto tonight.
