Professional Crisis Management Association (PCM) recertification training for our special education teachers and aides has occurred twice this year, with two upcoming trainings in January and February. Special Services has worked with EV SELPA to obtain an initial training here at Rim of the World for the beginning of February. This is very beneficial as it helps keep our staff here on the mountain instead of having to travel up and down for three days.
The three trainers will receive recertification in May, which will enable us to keep training staff up here.

MPH would like to highlight the public release of the 2019 California School Dashboard. MPH scored yellow in the areas of chronic absenteeism, English and Math. Overall English achievement in grades 6 through 8 increased 31.6 points moving us from orange to yellow on the dashboard. Overall Math achievement in grades 6 through 8 increased 19.2 points moving us from red to yellow on the dashboard. Finally, our overall chronic absenteeism percentage declined 4.4% moving us from red to yellow on the dashboard. We are so proud of our students and staff for their dedication to improvement in these areas and hope to continue our momentum into the green and blue areas of achievement in the coming years.
