Mr. Rob Wilson
My courses include ROP/CTE Graphic Design and Advanced Graphic Design. I also manage the ROP Print Shop where we produce a myriad of print products for school sites, the district office, school clubs, and more.
A little about me: I am a graphic designer and teacher by day and traditional media artist in my spare time. While attending college for a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design I followed other artistic passions such as drawing, painting, photography, ceramics, glass blowing, woodworking, and sculpture. With so many artistic passions and interests, I decided I had to stay in school longer to get a degree in sculpture as well. Today my design work is based mostly in print production and my sculpture mostly functional.
After 13 years working in the design industry, the opportunity to teach graphic design to local high school students presented itself. I made the change and haven’t looked back. I love my job and the wonderful students and staff I get to work with every day. Our R.O.P. program provides amazing opportunities to our students and I’m proud to be a part of it.
I'm very proud to have designed the new RHS school mascot logo as well as the Rim P.R.I.D.E. logo and others within the school district.
I utilize Google Classroom to manange my coursework. Students are given instructions in class on how to access their assignments and turn in work. Parents can be invited as guardians and recieve email updates on the progress of their student. Interested parents should email me if they wish to be added as a guardian.
There are other in-class assignments that may not be posted online, so checking grades on Aeries or speaking to me in person are the best way for a student to know their current grade in my class.
