Principal's Page

  • Welcome to Valley of Enchantment Elementary School!  My name is Lauren Tovar, and I am so honored to be principal of VOE.  I joined the VOE family back in February of 2017, and I am so excited to work with all of our students, parents, teachers and community members to make the 2019-2020 school year the best it can be.

This is a wonderful school with dedicated students, parents and teachers.  We as a staff are committed to providing an academically enriching environment that also nurtures the social and emotional development of our students.  At VOE we believe that it is our duty to develop students who will become responsible citizens who care for their community and environment.  As an eSTEM school, our students regularly participate in learning experiences rooted in Environmental Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.  Valley of Enchantment has multiple food growing gardens, a working greenhouse, and an orchard with varying fruit trees.  All students, Kindergarten through 5th grade, participate in the maintenance of these gardens and can learn about our unique mountain environment.

At Valley of Enchantment Elementary we provide a structured environment based on clear expectations.  All VOE community members are held to the following expectations:

    • Be Safe
    • Be Responsible
    • Be Respectful

Here at VOE we honor all our stakeholders and encourage our families to get involved.  Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) regularly meets and plans community events and school activities.  In addition to our PTA, we collaborate with other outside organizations to organize enriching activities for our students.  Parent volunteers are always welcome, and are key to supporting our students and teachers.  Valley of Enchantment Elementary is a true community and all are welcome.

Here are some ways that you can help your student have a successful year:

    • Regularly communicate with and support your student’s teacher
    • Every Day Counts so make attendance a priority and aim for 95% attendance
    • Volunteer in any way that you can
    • Regularly visit our website and Facebook page for current information

All of us at Valley of Enchantment are devoted to growing and building on our success.  We look forward to the 2019-2020 school year and the many opportunities it brings.
