Welcome to 6th grade!

I am so excited to see all of the great things your student accomplishes this year. I describe myself as the perfect mix of kindness and structure to get your student ready for the full swing of 7th grade. I feel so lucky to have such an amazing job and am so proud to be a teacher. It is truly an honor to see students grow acadmically and I pride myself in running a rigourous, structured and strict classroom. I am truly honored to have your student in my class and I will do everything I can to make them love learning and achieve their goals. 

I am a proud graduate of Rim of the World Unified and attended K-12 in this wonderful school district. I first attended Charles Hoffman Elementary School and then attended Mary Putnam Henck Intermediate. After graduating middle school I went to Rim of the World High School. I graduated with high honors from California State University San Bernardino with a bachelors degree in liberal studies with an emphasis in human development.

I love and embrace technology, therefore many assignments are online. I am constantly pushing myself as an educator and pride myself on being on the forefront of all of the latest technology and best classroom practices. I am a Google Certified Educator Level 1 and level 2 which is only given through rigourous tests to educators that have an indepth knowledge of using technology in the classroom. 

My accomplisments include:

English and AVID teacher of the 6th grade "AVID Regional Writing Contest" (my student won 1st place out of hundreds of students and all regions including Southern California and outlying areas): MPH 6th grade winner

1st place winner-Intercollegiate College Speech Contest

Google Certified Educator Level 1: Demonstrates the fundamental knowledge, skills and competencies needed to implement Google for Education tools. There are only an esitmated 21,000 educators in the whole world who are certified level 1.
