Seniors- Gradnite tickets are now on sale! Gradnite will take place May 26th. Tickets are $150 and are for sale now until March 11th. Payments can made until the end of ticket sales. Students must adhere to the senior contract and be in grad status to be able to participate. Tickets are non-refundable. Students- See something, say something! There is an ANONYMOUS reporting form for students to use to report negative incidents seen around campus. To access the anonymous form, you can log into a school Chromebook and it will pop up in the web browser, you can visit the home page of the RHS website and it is located at the bottom, or you can scan the QR code found on the yellow and black STOP BULLYING posters seen around campus.
Students - Did you know, 3 tardies equates to 1 truancy? There will be random tardy sweeps throughout the week. If you are caught in a tardy sweep, you will be locked out of your class at the bell, and you will have to get a tardy pass from security. If you are tardy during the random tardy sweep, you will automatically have to serve lunch detention. Don't be tardy! Get to class on time. Juniors - If you would like to Opt-Out of the Cal Grant GPA upload in September of your Senior year, please see Mrs. Hallmark in the Counseling Office for the Opt-Out Form that is required. The form must be returned to Mrs. Hallmark by Friday, February 4, 2022.
All students have had the opportunity to check out a school Chromebook to take back and forth from school and home. If you did not check out a Chromebook, please make sure you have your own device that you are bringing to and from school daily. Devices can not be cell phones. Teachers will be enforcing the RHS cell phone policy, as all students have access to a school-issued Chromebook to use. Students will have their cell phones picked up by security and held in the AP office if students are on their cell phones in class. Track practice will be every day after school beginning at 2:30. All track athletes are required to have a cleared account on athletic clearance before attending practice. All practices are mandatory. See Coach Jurado in room 212 if you have any questions.
Any student interested in being a part of the Football Team needs to see Coach Jurado in room 212. Off-season lifting has already begun and attendance is required.
College & Career Updates:- Attention all college-bound juniors: Julie Scorziell (an independent college admissions officer) will be on campus every PLC date to guide you through what you need to work on to be prepared for next year's college application cycle. Please join us in the computer labs prepared with your questions about applications. The class starts at II: 40 on the early release dates and runs for an hour. The first class will be on January 26th. We hope to see you there.
Scholarship and Financial Aid Updates:
- Attention Juniors: Looking for ways to pay for your college education? Do you have a passion to serve in the military? Army ROTC scholarships pay full tuition and fees to participate in four-year universities. In addition, the scholarship pays $1200.00 for books and a monthly stipend of $420.00. If you are interested in receiving an Army ROTC scholarship, see your counselor to learn more about the benefits and application process.
