Special Education

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department will host our next Parent University on Wednesday, March 27 at 5:00. Parent University will be held in the Library of Rim of the World High School. The Sheriff’s Dept. will present their Safe Return Program. The “Safe Return” Program is a participatory regional photo-based information system hosted by the Sheriff’s Department. The program is designed to assist Law Enforcement agencies during contacts with members of the community who have disabilities such as, but not limited to, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Down syndrome, and other developmental and intellectual disabilities, to ensure the special needs person's safe return home. Parents will have the opportunity to enroll their student that evening. Also, we will talk about the upcoming CAASPP testing for grades 3-8, and eleventh grade.

Child Welfare and Attendance

On Thursday, March 14 Girl Scout Troop 1311 assembled at the district to put together snack bags for local students in need. They packed twenty bags after shopping for the snacks and using their own funds. Also, the manager of Jensen’s in Blue Jay donated the bags for the girls to put the snacks in. Thank you Troop 1311 for your hard work and Jensen’s for the bags. Our students will greatly appreciate the snacks!
