Page: All Aboard the Polar Express! A Magical Moment in the Blue Jay Parade.....If you happened to be anywhere near the Blue Jay Parade, you might have heard a soft bell ringing… Because Rim’s very own school bus rolled in as none other than the Polar Express Bus! With twinkling lights, snowy décor, and a sprinkle of North Pole magic, the transformation was nothing short of spectacular.
Page: All Aboard the Polar Express Bus! The real enchantment came from the passengers and crew. Our students and drivers arrived in their comfiest, coziest pajamas—ready to step straight into the storybook. Giggles floated through the air, little hands held imaginary hot cocoa, and wide-eyed believers waved to the crowd as if they truly were on their way to meet Santa himself. For a moment, the parade route felt like a winter dreamscape where imagination ruled, joy sparkled, and believing was the most important ticket of all. And believe they did!
Page: Preschool Playdate Magic! What a beautiful afternoon filled with play, connection, and community building! VOE’s preschool hosted its very first playdate, and it was pure joy from start to finish! Families stayed after school to enjoy a cup of hot chocolate at the hot chocolate bar, share lots of laughter, and spend time together in great company. It’s all the good things the world needs a little more of.
Page: Ice, Science, and a Whole Lot of Fun at VOE’s ELOP!!! At VOE ELOP, students became curious little ice scientists this week as they experimented with different ways to melt frozen blocks and rescue tiny toys trapped inside!  From salt sprinkles to warm-water magic, students tested their theories, made predictions, and celebrated every successful “ice escape.” We want to give a massive shoutout to our amazing ELOP aides, Ms. Tiffanie and Ms. Jessie, for leading this chilly, hands-on adventure. Their creativity and enthusiasm helped transform a simple science activity into a frosty mission filled with laughter, learning, and lots of “cool” discoveries! Science has never been so Ice-Tastic!
Page: Valley of Enchantment Elementary-A Fairytale Feast in VOE’s SDC Kingdom. Once upon a crisp autumn morning, in the heart of VOE’s enchanted halls, the SDC class gathered for a most magical delight—Pumpkin Pie in a Cup, crafted with wonder and crowned with a billowing cloud of whipped-cream enchantment. With a gentle swirl and a soft poof, the whipped cream rose like a snowy spell cast by a friendly forest fairy. No silverware required—just eager hands, happy hearts, and the magic of imagination. Today, our young heroes and heroines embark on a sweet adventure where pumpkins become potions, cups become cauldrons, and every bite tells a story. And so, in this tiny kingdom of kindness and creativity, dessert becomes a fairytale… and everyone gets a happily-ever-after.
Page: Balloons Over Broadway Floats Into VOE Elementary! In one of VOE’s classes, students dove into a magical mSTEM adventure inspired by Balloons Over Broadway!  They explored sequencing events, identifying fact vs. opinion, and uncovering the author’s point of view—all while following the story behind the famous parade balloons. Then the real fun began! Students stepped into the shoes of engineers, designing their very own parade balloons and bringing them to life with tin foil creations that proudly floated through our classroom “parade route.” It was a joyful blend of reading, creativity, and hands-on engineering—proof that learning truly can lift us up!
Page: ELOP at CHE: Where Creativity Takes Center Stage. There’s something wonderfully magical happening after school at CHE’s ELOP program. Step inside and you’ll find a world where imaginations run wild, ideas grow wings, and students cheer each other on every step of the way. This week, our ELOP students transformed ordinary moments into extraordinary learning adventures. From crafting colorful masterpieces to tackling hands-on challenges, they showed us just how creative, curious, and capable they are. Every project sparked new conversations, new friendships, and plenty of “Look what I made!” moments that filled the room with joy.
Page: ELOP at CHE: Where Creativity Takes Center Stage. But what truly makes ELOP shine is the way our students lift one another up.
They share materials, help each other puzzle through tricky steps, celebrate breakthroughs—big and small—and remind us that learning is even better when we do it together. Their kindness is just as impressive as their creativity. ELOP at CHE isn’t just an after-school program—it’s a community where students feel safe to explore, try new things, and discover what makes them unique. We couldn’t be prouder of the teamwork, imagination, and heart they bring each day. Here’s to more adventures, more laughter, and more moments of pure CHE brilliance!

And let’s not forget the joy of giving!

Their whimsical artwork dances with color and creativity, showing that when challenges pile up like fresh snowfall, we can shovel through them together! Page: Mary Putnam Henck Intermediate. The theme of this year’s Blue Jay Parade was “There’s Magic in the Air.” MPH Middle Schoolers delivered more than just magic; they brought beautiful music to life through their marching band performance. The students were thrilled to share their enchanting sound with parade-goers, filling the streets with energy and joy. A magical moment shared by everyone who attended.
Page: The MPH Family Resource & Student Success Fair was a Hands-on Hit! FUN + FUTURE! Families and students enjoyed exciting Robo Blocky demonstrations, tested their skills with fun games, and explored opportunities to learn more about our school systems and programs. Page: Mountain High School Students Stack Up Fun & Learning! Mountain High, our students proved that some of the best lessons don’t always come from textbooks—they come from Jenga towers, high-stakes board games, and plenty of laughter! From carefully pulling wooden blocks without toppling the tower to planning their next winning move in classic board games, students practiced teamwork, strategy, communication, and sportsmanship—all while having a great time. There’s something magical about watching a group cheer each other on, celebrate creative thinking, and even laugh through a dramatic tower crash. These playful moments are helping students build not just towers but also confidence, collaboration skills, and a sense of community. Here’s to learning that feels like play and play that teaches us something new every time!
