Suicide Prevention ID Card Information

August 1, 2019

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Rim of the World Unified School District would like to inform you of a required change to ALL seventh – twelfth-grade student identification cards. Per California Education Code 215.5, beginning in July of 2019, all student ID cards must have 3 phone numbers: The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, the Crisis Text Line, and a local suicide prevention hotline telephone number. For our district, it means that the company we use to print our ID cards will be following this statue for all students at Mary Putnam Henck Intermediate School, Rim of the World High School and Mountain High school. For additional information on this topic, please visit our district website at https://rimsd.k12.ca.us/6258_3. Again, the district wanted to inform families prior to students receiving their identification cards for this school year.
